Ox and Angela - Calgary

A great place for a fun night out, the $25 pour on's on the weekends are pretty dangerous if you don't do well with a hangover.

We had an amazing experience celebrating our 5th anniversary.

Attempted to eat here for dinner, but left prior to ordering. Restaurant was about 25% full, but because of the new seating arrangement (benchette and tables placed with 2ft spacing) and everybody being squeezed into a small area, it's noisy and you can't hear/talk to your company with shouting.Did ask to be seated in one of the small empty booths, but was told they don't permit couples to use those.

Food & service were very good, and the wine was OK - but expected more Spanish "finds" with a better price point. The major stumbling block was the irritating, loud music. This establishment should decide if it is a bar or a restaurant.

My Mother was visiting Calgary from Vancouver. I put some serious thought into the restaurants I wanted to take her to during her stay. We visited Ox for Sunday brunch and ordered the chef's menu which was very reasonably priced and delicious. It gave us the perfect taste of so many wonderful items! The cocktails and atmosphere were outstanding as well. This visit was a major success and my mother and I had a great time! What really put the visit over the top was our AMAZING server Stephen. From start to finish he was perfection, an amazing personality, flawless service and hospitality obviously running through his blood. Outstanding, we'll be back!
