Grace Cafayate Restaurant

We made the trip from Salta by car to this place. This trip is really nice. With high expectations we came to Grace, but it turned out not to be really good. The room we got was part of a house and divided by a connecting door that was not locked. The room had a very loud airco and was not clean. Wifi in the room does not work. You have a spa, but not a gym. The food is among the standards of Avarage Bistro in Argentina and if you want a good cup of coffee for breakfast, you need to pay extra for it. No parasols in the pool area, although we have asked and there are some in the terraces of the restaurant. Our room has a terrace, but no furniture. It seems to be a kind of territory for rettired Americans. We wouldn't recommend this place to everyone.

We expected sooooo much more from thsi restaurant as it is located within the very top notch Grace Cafayate Hotel. Service was great, however, and nice dining room, but the food is much less than it should be. Meat was unusable, Provoleta was clearly the worst we had in Argentina. Very disappointing.

Luckily we discovered this restaurant at the beginning of our stay nearby. The food is very good here! Prices are reasonable They also have a tasting menu of 3 courses with wine pairing for 250 pesos per person. We also tried a la carte which...has some amazing dishes for good prices

The location and atmosphere of this restaurant are outstanding and very impressive if you are going on a date or anniversary dinner or for a special occasion. However the food seems to be more for show than it is for taste or to get you...fed. Portions are small and designed to be little works of art, however I find the presentation and plating looks a little hurried although service is very very slow. Also the menu borders on the exotic with no hard standards mixed in. I ate there 3 times and tried 3 different menu items and was not impressed by any of them. (just my opinion). If you want to have a classy formal dinner, skip this place and go over to the restaurant at Piattelli Vineyards, they know how to do it right.

Wow what a great surprise in Cafayate! Just outside town, immersed in vineyards and olive trees, this fantastic restaurant offers gourmet food at a very good price. Ingredients are the best, presentation of meals is top notch and fantasy is in each dish. A masterpiece...and an excellent culinary experience just where you don't expect it. It is not properly advertised and is close to a 5 stars resort golf club just 2 km outside Cafayate direction south. During the day the scenery around must be spectacular!
