John's Place - Cabo San Lucas

We were looking for authentic Mexican food but greatly disappointed. Tamarindo water tasted more like fruit flavored water. Asked them to put more pulp and was the same thing. Tacos needed more flavor. Spot in a good location but they need to step up their game.

John's is a local street restaurant where we have had some of our best meals. Atmosphere is basic Mexican, but we really enjoy the nutritious and unpretentious food. The fish and shrimp meals come with white rice and nicely steamed real veggies. Caprese is great when they can get good tomatoes. Had my favorite Casamigos reposado tequila there.
