Carriages Bar Restaurant - Buxton

We always enjoy our time at Carriages. The staff are lovely and always eager to help with happy smiles. We visit on Monday nights for Steak night and always enjoy the delicious, tender steaks and fantastic chips. The wine selection is also excellent.

The atmosphere at the restaurant is beautiful, with very friendly and cheerful staff. We were delighted to sit in the actual car area. Despite it being Valentine's evening, we were pleasantly surprised as the food and drinks arrived promptly. Everything was great. And the food... WOW! The starters were served quickly after our drinks and were excellent. We ordered the steak in Stilton sauce, which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The trio of desserts that followed were also amazing. I couldn't resist devouring them all. Unfortunately, I had to leave half of my Bailey's cheesecake because I was so full. A big thank you to the staff for a lovely evening and for sacrificing their own evening. We will definitely be returning soon.

I absolutely love the concept of Tapas-Starters at this restaurant. The food was not only delicious, but the service was exceptional as always. I would rate our experience a perfect 10 out of 10. I am already looking forward to our next visit, which I hope will be very soon.

We visited Carriages on a busy Sunday afternoon, but the service was fantastic. The staff were very attentive and they took our orders and brought food and drinks promptly. The menu was extensive with choices for everyone. We all enjoyed our food which was fantastically cooked and presented. All in all a fabulous meal in beautiful surroundings.

It is a themed restaurant which is really good ,we were really impressed the food was excellent, we eat out quite often,and this is one of the best, it was also a very competitive price,the staff were really good with very little waiting time between courses...well done ,we will be rebooking..thankyou.
