Cafe Meyer - Burscheid

The service is amazing here. The staffs are really friendly. Food is great too!! And they even gave some water for my doggy.

Stopped there one morning for breakfast as we visited Schloss burg, very friendly service, good choice, decent food, reasonably priced.

The café lies in the village below the castle (Burg and there is a free public car park next door although we usually walk to it from neighbouring Glueder because we love the well organised and signposted footpaths through the forests along the valley beside the Wupper. The café is fairly small although upstairs in addition to the restaurant there is a balcony with outside seating. We have always received a warm welcome (although speaking German does definitely help! The cafe lies in Bergisches Land and one of the local dishes is Waffel with cherries (Kirschen and cream (Sahne . If you like sweet dishes then this comes highly recommended. My husband prefers savoury so he opted for the Bockwurst with potato salad. There is, of course, always a wonderful selection of cakes. From the restaurant you can look down on the pretty village of Unterburg with its half-timbered buildings. Nearby is the chair lift to the top where you can visit the castle. There are also more restaurants up there that also serve Waffeln!

We needed an ice-cream on our bike tour through the mountain. Fortunately, there are not only the mountain coffee table, but also a few ice-creams. we sat on the terrace at the top. Sunday afternoon, good weather (for motorbike driving,) it was almost half full. service was friendly, not hectic. everything tasted good. we were satisfied. näxtes year again!

Located directly in Unterburg, this café offers the typical mountainic afternoon kitchen to the coffee cabinets. it is a bit narrow from the inside, but it is just an old factory house with special charm.
