Bidrage med feedbackMy husband made a reservation for my birthday, and I was very disappointed with the birthday meal we had at The Lounge. We usually frequent Bertram’s or Wilfred’s but decided to try something new. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our drink order was taken promptly. The service for drinks was the highlight of the evening. However, the staff did not seem enthusiastic about their work. While I don't expect extravagant gestures, I do expect a pleasant attitude when serving customers, especially on special occasions. The food we had for starters and main course was delicious. When my main course arrived, I requested mayonnaise, but it never came. The staff seemed more focused on other tasks like cleaning the bar and inputting information into the computer than on attending to the diners. When we tried to order more drinks, we had to seek out a staff member's attention multiple times. Eventually, we had to leave without ordering dessert, despite our intention to do so. The Lounge missed out on potential dessert, drinks, and coffee orders from us due to their lack of attentiveness. We won't be returning anytime soon.
Great service received throughout visit Ethan, Kelsey and Alex are so friendly; immediately make you feel at home and make sure any needs are attended to. Totally recommend the Beef Bon Bons a perfect Lancastrian meal! Thank you!!
The service we received from the staff was extremely lackadaisical. We had to go up to the bar to inquire about our drinks as they were taking an unusually long time. The server I spoke to asked for our drink order again, even though it had already been taken at our table. Eventually, a different waitress brought us the incorrect beverages, which had to be exchanged. Surprisingly, our food was served before the correct drinks arrived. Despite the subpar service, the food was delicious.
My birthday treat with family, 8 of us, 6 having afternoon tea, and my two grandsons aged 14 and 11 off the menu. TBH the thing that marred the event was lack of care by one member of staff. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee with the Afternoon Tea, in fact one of my daughters enquired at the bar after we’d finished if tea was included. She was told it was but we should have ordered it? The table was left full of empty plates etc for quite a while and we felt that one of the staff just didn’t care and was quite rude. A young lady with a ponytail and a young man that served us with our Afternoon Tea trays and took them away were lovely, but the occasion was marred a little by this one staff member with something of an attitude, we all felt it and it’s not on. Several of us have worked in the service industry and even if you’re having a bad day it’s not the customer’s fault, we were all polite, quietly conversing and respectful. The food was good, and my grandsons loved their bao buns and burgers. I’m a Crow Wood member by the way, and was disappointed not to receive the usual birthday Voucher for the Lounge, I’m afraid a number of club members are beginning to feel second class to the new spa project.
Visited on Friday evening for a family catch up. Took advantage of the 2 for 1 fish and chips offer. All 4 of us commented on how lovely and fresh the cod was, with equally amazing batter. The chips, as always, were great. One comment would be the bread and butter was bread and marg, you can tell the difference. No room for dessert, but would love to try next time. No issues, highly recommended, especially for 2 for 1 deal.
