Burlington Bay Market Cafe

Nice waterfront location with views. Good for plain cooking, although the fish in the fish and chips was panko not breadcrumbs or batter. They did have malt vinegar! Fish was perfectly cooked. Good slaw. My companion had a chicken sandwich which was meh. Service was prompt and pleasant. Good for simple stuff, no spice.

Two words--Maple Creemee!! It was our first one while in Vermont. Loved the flavor. Service friendly and fast. Pricing not so bad either. Loved the outdoor seating that gave us a perfect view of Lake Champlain.

Needed a quick lunch option and saw that you can make an order on line for pick up here at the Burlington Bay Market Cafe. It's located right on lake Champlain so it's a gorgeous view. I just ordered a Turkey club. It was ready when I arrived. The have beverages and some grocery store items much like a 7-11. After I picked up my sandwich I noticed they had a small seating area so I decided to eat there. It was a nice view of the lake. It was clean inside and the prices were also much like a 7-11. Good place to grab lunch or some odds and ends if you are in the area.

This place has a great balcony area with tables and chairs where you can watch the sun set. We had the cheeseburger, fish tacos and chicken sandwich with fries. The food was meh. The service was fast. Would give it a 3.5.

Three stars for location and a sweet view of the bay. That's the main reason I have returned to this spot each time I pass through Burlington. I do like that there are a good amount of options to choose from, between grab-n-go snacks and salads, ice cream, and prepared meals. The food is basic, nothing to write home about. This is in a very touristy area so it is conveniently placed but also more expensive than it's worth. I got the Grilled Chicken Club Wrap and found it to be bland and dry (even with the garlic mayo). Not very flavorful in my opinion. It's a pretty small wrap and probably could've used twice the amount of chicken that was included. However, while it's nothing fancy, this place gets the job done and there will usually be something for everyone on the menu. The bathrooms are clean and open to the public so it makes a nice spot to take a break when traveling. And you can't beat the view!
