Hoppin Chicken - Burbank

Bryan Jim have done it again! Wow, what can I say about this new place? Simply fantastic! We 've already been here a couple of times and this place is, oh so good! Bryan Jim are the awesome owners/creators of the Red Maple Cafe and Corner Poke, who in my opinion create and make some of the best-tasting food drinks in the Toluca Lake/Burbank area. 5-star restaurant owners for sure! Anyhow, getting back to Hoppin ' Chicken. They have an amazingly tasty Ruby 's Signature Chicken Sandwich, which I 'll post in my pics here. It 's basically a super delish fried chicken breast, topped with their signature yuzu slaw, and smothered in chipotle aioli, served on a toasted brioche bun. Wholly smokes! So good! I can tell you what. When you take a bite into this sandwich, it 's simply to die for. Yep, I said it!...and you know what, I 'd say it again, and again. They seriously give any chicken place out there making chicken sandwiches a run for their money, especially when it comes to the chicken sandwich wars around the world. They know how to make an excellent fried chicken sandwich for sure. Go get it when you can! On top of this, I hear they 'll eventually be selling their famous Smash Burgers here too, which we had tonight at the Red Maple Cafe. I 'll also post some pics on this post that they currently are selling at their main Red Maple Cafe restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays nights from 4 pm to 8 pm. Talk about another delicious sandwich! In fact, they grind their own meat for it, using USDA sirloin chuck and smash it on their awesome grill that has a burger crisp that 's to die for as well. I recommend asking to get their special 'Smiley ' fries too along with your Smash Burger order and with all of the awesome gooey cheese, special secret smiley ingredient sauce, and the caramelized onions that I believe they also put on the Smash Burger too. Simply fantastic! My mouth is still watering thinking about it. Overall, gotta love this place. We look forward to ordering the Smash Burger again too at Hoppin Chicken all the time from what we 're hearing. Thank you Bryan Jim for continuing to make such awesome food! Been there several times but door locked. Sign says go to Red Maple. Why do I have to go to another store?

My boyfriend and I come here often! We love this spot the food is delicious and always fresh. The owner is super friendly and he is like the hardest worker I've ever seen. So happy they were able to brand our of Red Maple Cafe to have their own storefront! The chicken is so tender and the flavors are out of this world. Lots of options for sauces and they have gelato! It's one of the best local spots here!

This is a new joint. The employees are very friendly and more importantly, the chicken is bomb. The prices are pretty good too. Definitely a place worth checking out.
