Fryer Of Whitby - Buderim

I deleted my old review because the new owner has completely transformed this place! My family and I ordered the family pack on Wednesday night and it was the best fish and chips I've ever had. The chips were incredible - freshly hand-cut and homemade. The quality of the food was fantastic, and there was so much that we could have easily fed 5 or 6 people. Kudos to the new management for the excellent improvements!

I recently found this fish and chip shop and was very impressed with the generous serving size and high quality of the chips. The small serve, priced at $3.50, is even larger than those priced at $5.00 in other shops. The sweet potato scallops were also well-drained and the batter was light and fluffy. I hope they continue to maintain their excellent service and portion sizes, as they will definitely have repeat business from me and anyone else I recommend their shop to.

I was amazed by my experience at this restaurant today with my Scottish wife. We were craving a black pudding supper and had traveled all the way from Bundaberg. We were not disappointed at all. My wife, who hadn't had a black pudding supper since immigrating, was in heaven. The service and food were impeccable, and they even had Irn Bru brown vinegar, which is a must for fish and chips. We are already looking forward to driving back to have this amazing meal again. It was the best black pudding I have ever tasted!

My wife and I went to the friar of Whitby for lunch today all I can say ii is Its back back to the original best it was when it first opened. Under new ownership they were the best fish and chips I have had since I was in Whitby itself 17 years ago.My parents owned a chippy in Portsmouth before we came to oz so trust me these guys are on top of their game. Real homemade chips , the best North Atlantic cod cooked perfectly and for all you pommies they even keep the batter scraps. Forget the stories you have heard about the food being undercooked and greasy these were the best, Talking to the boss he told me the only thing he wanted was his batter a little crispier hopefully I helped him fix that problem today. TRY THEM YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED and believe me I know a bit about cooking fish and chips

Proper British fish and chip shop!! Curry sauce mushy peas Fish was really tasty and great portion sizes. Fantastic customer service and lovely seating area. Will be coming back
