Bidrage med feedbackI've eaten three times. Nice restaurant, good intentions. But the third time I had eaten there, the restaurant was full and loud, and the food was not as good as the first two times, and we were not good this afternoon. So I recommend this restaurant for couples, but beware of crowded evenings
I have to say Octopus gave me a very good impression, starting with the place and ending with desert. Although prices are above average (meal for 3 was between 300-400 ron) I definitely felt it was worth it. Serving was very pro, you felt like in a high class restaurant. I have to mention we went their to lunch during the week, so it was pretty much empty so that our meeting was enjoyable. Might be that when the place is crowded you do not feel that intimate anymore. Food was very good, tasty but the desert was top, I chose lemon-tart and would recommend it to anyone.
I tasted some st Jacques coquilles and grilled octopus, both delicious. the place is nice, a little bit stiff for my taste, there was some live music. the service was attentive but our waiter could not offer much of advice regarding choice of wine. it was one of the best seafood meals I had.
An unforgettable dinner last night in this little jewel. Converted villa from CA Rosetti offered a 5-star menu at 3 star rates. It could be directly from Olivia Manning's Balkan trilogy, except that I doubt that they served Aperol splashes in the 1930s. Great Romanian rose, I wish I had got the name of the vineyard.
It was recommended to us by a friend and we thought to try it in the Palm Sunday as it is tradition here to have fish in the menu. It is an elegant place located in the expensive side of the city, serving was great and also eating. Our children were happy to play with a piano they found there. We liked the mixed grill of seafood, but everything was nicely cooked, the traditional fish soup (bors de peste) was also great. I'm not sure how the light in the ceiling when we took pictures, the camera showed some kind of radiation, but maybe it was nothing. All in all, a beautiful place where we might come back.
