Poor Boy's Riverside Inn - Broussard

I recently visited this restaurant in Louisiana for the first time and I was very impressed! I ordered the grilled fish and it was incredibly delicious and fresh tasting. The staff was welcoming and efficient. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this restaurant in Lafayette. Rating: Food 5/5, Service 5/5, Atmosphere 4/5.

The food was decent but could use more seasoning. I would definitely suggest trying the sweet potato balls dessert, as it was amazing. The service was outstanding. Our server, Tessa, was very friendly and attentive, making our dinner experience enjoyable. Overall, I would give a rating of 4 for the food, 5 for the service, and 5 for the atmosphere. Recommended dishes include the Bread Pudding and Sweet Potato Beignets, Fried Crawfish, and Fried items. Price per person for dinner ranges from $30-50.

The restaurant was just as good as I remembered from my childhood. The atmosphere was great and the service was good. However, the crab au gratin was disappointing as it had mostly bechamel sauce with only a few small pieces of crab. For $31, I would have expected more crab in the dish. It felt like they may have skimped on the crab to cut costs. I wish the dish was worth the price. Overall, the food received a 3 rating, while the service and atmosphere both received a 5.

I have been eating here for years, but this time was the first time that I tried their catfish poboy. I have mine with tarter instead of just mayo. I have to say it was the best catfish poboy, I have ever had.
