Merthyr Bowls Club - Brisbane

This restaurant is not overly fancy, but it offers a genuine Bowls Club experience with incredible views of the river. I recently went there with my girlfriends for a Christmas lunch. I ordered the Calamari Chips and Salad, which were delicious. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and the affordable drinks. The portions are large and reasonably priced. I will definitely return on a Sunday afternoon to relax on the deck, enjoy a drink, and maybe even try my hand at Barefoot Bowls.

I recently attended a function at this restaurant and was very impressed. Its location, right on the water in Brisbane, is stunning. The antipasto and cheese platters were delicious, though the barbecue was just okay. Overall, it's a wonderful spot for a work function and I highly recommend it.

Let's be honest, the food is just okay - at best. That's why I can only give it a maximum of 4 stars. The menu is pretty standard, with items like burgers and pasta. However, the fish dish I had was surprisingly good - fresh and light. Hopefully, the food will continue to improve in the future. One thing I love about this place is the diverse clientele. People of all ages, styles, and backgrounds come together and seem to get along perfectly. It's a welcoming atmosphere that I always enjoy. Overall, I will continue to visit this restaurant as long as I am in Brisbane.

Exactly what it says on the packet!<br/ <br/ It's a bowls club! <br/ <br/ CHEAP drinks, average food at an average price (that's not meant as an insult) but with a fantastic location. Perfect for a quite arvo couple.<br/ <br/ Staff are always friendly.

Wow its really been a while since I visited this place. Freshness of seafood were average but definitely a nice place for a bite a drink with nice relaxing views. Used to come to this place quite often for their oyster shots before they stopped it :
