We attended the venue as the meeting point for me and my family attending a reunion, we had agreed to meet for one drink then walk to see the set up and activation of the Christmas lights, when we arrived the venue was very busy so we headed through to the rear Garden area, I went through the rear door behind two of our children who are aged 11, as I got through the rear door the children were being told to go back in, I spoke to the lady who was quite aggressive towards the children and asked what’s the problem, she replied they need to be with an adult, I asked if I counted and she responded by saying keep control of your kids! I don’t feel the need to be reactive to behaviour like this as it is never productive, within 5 mins someone else appeared and said you have been told 3 times to control your kids, frankly we were all so shocked no one really responded, I don’t think any of us were used to an aggressive approach for children running around, several children were running in and out of the venue but no approach was made to ANY OF THEM which of course sends a message to us, we were then told do as your told or you will leave I’m getting the Manager, which actually seemed like a good idea as some kind of lateral thinking could help diffuse the situation which in reality wasn’t a situation of our making, no Manager appears but a guy dressed in black wearing a camera came over (training in reading body language made it very clear what his view was before he even spoke to us) we Were told to leave for not controlling our children, even a local lady who was sat outside tried to step in and ask what the issue was as our Children were being good and quiet While conversations were taking place another couple of families came outside and the children were running every where, when we asked why no one was speaking to them I was personally told, “it’s not about them it’s about you” really! When we asked for our money back for our drinks we were told no, we were 4 different families and had spent between £10-£20 per round and we were being ordered to leave, for the record originally a shift leader who refused to give me even his first name said “take your drinks with you” when I said your not licensed to allow us to leave with open drinks in glasses he then said I meant the kids. I have no understanding why we were targeted by your staff when we were just a large family having a reunion, is it because we were all English? if not what was the reason when other families were allowed to let children run around, Ive always thought Weatherspoons, were a a great venue for families, I have never been thrown out of a pub in my life and neither had anyone in the group, we are all business people who unlucky for us thought we had chosen the right place to meet, at one point I am certain one of Wetherspoons staff mentioned Gypsies and when I looked the man in the eye and said what did you say he refused to repeat it, the behaviour displayed by all of the staff involved was synonymous with racism Im just trying to figure out which form. Should the policy now be to throw out larger family groups then don’t take our money just tell us before you serve us, it’s morally wrong to take money and within 5 mins ask us to leave or to throw us out and not even allow us to finish our drink!

This restaurant had only been open a few days after the pandemic but the menu was very limited with first two choices not available. We ended up with the scampi and found not very hot and after complaints still not satisfied. Definitely not recommended.

Good atmosphere, cheap and consistent. A group of us go here regularly good food, cheap drinks. Nice pub.

Mixed grill, unable to cut the cremated meat, an egg that was solid, looked disgusting tasted worse. Same for the brunch's. This is the second Wetherspoons we have visited in Wales and the food and service is so bad I would not have shared it with my Dog. A pint of Pepsi that had a grease film over the top. In comparison to the Iron Duke in Wellington Somerset that is Excellent.

I was having a nice meal with Denis and rosie(Besties) and I ordered the pasta Alfredo and I genuinely never wanted to die more. It was so sticky and gross I WANT A REFUND.
