Bidrage med feedbackI came in on Monday 21 October 2023, in the evening into your Hornchurch shop, I was served by a black girl with glasses and orangey shade hair, who I now know to be Sarah. I ordered a crepe with white chocolate and strawberries and a Halloween cookie dough. While ordering, Sarah asked me for the pricing, and appeared lost, to be honest I should have just walked out then. I told her I don’t know the pricing? So she charged me £17.80 for one crepe and a cookie dough. When I got back into my car I opened up the crepe to look at it as the box was tiny and not in a standard box that crepes normally come in, I was extremely shocked to see that my crepe was tiny, had ONE very small strawberry oddly cut up, a tiny drizzle of some sort of clear liquid that was definitely not white chocolate and it was in the smallest box, completely not whats advertised on social media. I went back into the shop and requested a refund as even a 5 year old could do a better crepe than that. Sarah told me I would be given a full refund via bank transfer. She wrote down my bank details in a note pad and told me it’ll be refunding straight away and that it would be a FULL refund. So it’s now a month later 21st November that I’m writing this, I’ve called both Hornchurch and Brentwood shops, been promised refunds, still to this day, I’ve not received this. I’ve had an employee call me from Hornchurch shop twice on one of the days to say Sarah has lost the bank details I gave her (shock), and that she needs to take them down again. The called later on, told she doesn’t know where she wrote down my details and if I could provide them again. Essentially, the shop is run by kids who are 16/17 years old, left UNSUPERVISED BY AN ADULT. Writing down people’s bank details in their note pads, no actual procedure. When you call up, they speak to you as though you’re one of their class mates. It makes me question the hygiene in this place, I’ll be in touch with licensing. It’s a month down the line, I’ve requested on multiple occasions for a manager to call me, this has not happened. I’ve requested a refund, despite being told it would be a full refund, this has not happened and I’ve been told it won’t be a full refund now because the inedible freezing cold cookie though that was thrown away in the car park behind the shop, wasn’t returned to them. I’ve also been told I was OVERCHARGED for everything as Sarah doesn’t know the pricing, despite it being on the wall next to her. Myself and my partner ended up going to Urban Chocolatier that night instead where we paid less than what we got charged here for 2 crepes, and drinks and had amazing service, so much more value for money! Would advise everyone to go else where, instead of being scammed by kids. Hopefully a manager actually calls me after this review, and maybe I’ll get a refund? Who knows.
Been using this company for a long time never had a problem before. But had a delivery today and when it arrived half the order was missing I rang YaYa and didn’t want to know told me to call Deliveroo and get a refund and then reorder young lady was very unhelpful won’t be going there again
I went today during my lunch break and ordered 4 milkshake and a crepes. I’ve been told to wait between 15 and 20min, which it was too much for me, but I decided to give a try. Never again. NEVER. 45 min for a tasteless crepes and a melted milkshake (the other three came after 15 min mine one was done). I don’t know who hires these people, but please DONT. There was a queue of at least ten people and while one girl was looking around wondering where and what she was doing, the other one was speaking to the phone while opening the ingredients with her mouth for doing the missing one. Awful service, this one is gonna be the first and last time that this business will see my money again. Hire and train people that can actually work in hospitality rather than young girls that do it for fun.
Went in there on bank holiday 2nd may, there was a lovely girl working by herself while it was so busy. She done amazing job not sure of her name, she was still very friendly and respectful despite the pressure she was under. Definitely need more staff because it isn’t fair just her working on her own at the front. The shakes were really nice too.
Overpriced milkshakes served up by a couple of surly pubescent boys. Touching their phones then handling food. Customer service at its worst. Certainly no service it’s a smile here. Grubby dirty premises too.
