Mondello - Brentwood

Seeing the other good reviews we were expecting a nice meal but were sadly disappointed. The food was very average, the steak was not good quality and was also not cooked to how we had all asked for, although the sides were a slight saving grace. The only good main was the scallop and prawn linguine. The desserts also tasted like they were straight out of the Iceland fridge isle. For such a small restaurant we were really surprised at how poor the service was. We had to ask for cutlery to be put on the table even after our food came, had to ask multiple times for sauces and multiple times for the bill as the waitresses kept forgetting. Not a great night, considering it also wasn’t cheap..

What a lovely restaurant! The food was exquisite, delicate and delicious. Would recommend the cheesecake for dessert, which was sensational. The service was really personable and my mum and I had a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning!
