We are pleased to share our experience at NEH for our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner! Both Selma and Kurt were amazingly accommodating to work with as we planned this event! When the power went out we thought that the event would be a bust. However, Kurt, (owner and chef) managed to pull off cooking all of the 16 meals . We had everything from apps to desserts served by waitstaff using flashlights on their phones. Truly an event to remember! According to the 4- year old flower girl “This is so fun, just like camping!” In summary, the food was amazing, everyone was great to work with and it was still a wonderful event regardless of the weather ! Thank you New England House.Kurt and Selma and staff! John and Linda Rowell

I don't understand why this place has a rating of only 4.1. it really should be a five. Atmosphere is early American, which is appropriate for this part of Vermont. The service is very good. Both the presentation and the taste of the food is what I would expect at a very expensive big city restaurant but much less expensive. I had the sweet corn and scallop risotto with crispy kale which was just amazing, never had anything like this and I would love to have it on a regular basis. My wife had the lobster roll which was also probably one of the best lobster rolls ever. My daughter had the linguini carbonara which, if not quite as good as the lobster roll and especially the sweet corn and scallop rosado, was excellent.
