Bidrage med feedbackThis is one of our favorite “go to” places in Bozeman for a quiet dinner with friends. Ate here last evening, and once again, the service was excellent, the food very tasty and reasonably priced, the cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere lovely.
When I first visited this place I thought it was a dream come true with the delicious well prepared lamb I ordered. The flavors were amazing paired with curry rice and broccolini. Well that’s pretty much it. Either that chef quit or there is an imposter in the kitchen. On two separate occasions I have tried a simple dish of salmon which turned out to be an epic fail. It’s either severely undercooked cooked or burnt and STILL undercooked in the middle. This has been a total turn off to me because I have tried. The staff is great….except for the “chef”. Sorry won’t be back but had to share the traumatic experience.
My wife and I live in Billings. We always went to Sweet Chili when in Bozeman. No more. We quit. This visit was unfortunately a 2 star visit. Why would the chef put fish oil in the Chicken and Beef Basil? That ruined the taste of a multi flavored dish to that of old sardines? The gyoza remained very good. The chocolate layer cake, along with the Caymus Cab, was delicious and mostly killed the dead fish taste. The server Kerry was very pleasant; I asked her to tell the chef that I strongly disagreed with his use of an overpowering fish oil. She possibly chickened out. She brought no feedback from the kitchen. Or any other response. That is not the mark of a high class restaurant. Next day, we just had a much better meal at Olive Garden. Half the price, no fish oil on chicken, chicken actually pan fried, not raw white as at Sweet Chili. What happened ? New owners? My wife and I went back to Sweet Chili one more time. It turned out to be our last. Every item was bad, bland, tasteless, except for the constant fish oil. So now it's a two star restaurant.
Decided to try this place per recommended by some locals. very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and good eating. I decided to take the laughs and have to say that it was very good. must pass in the future to taste their ducks and noodles and some other dishes.
Food here was absolutely amazing. Went here with a party of 7 and was pleasantly surprised to still have excellent service. I had the Mongolian Bison dish, and it was incredible, and I just might have to say that this is my new favorite restaurant in Bozeman. I greatly recommend Sweet Chili's.
