Grand Bistro - Bowral

We ate inside as the weather was threatening and it was very comfortable

We were excited to attend the Grand Bistro as we had heard good things. We booked in advance and arrived slightly early. On arrival we were told their booking system had played up so we had to leave within an hour and once we sat down they advised they had a restricted menu, which was not advertised on the website when booking. Service was slow. Overall the experience was disappointing, the food was ‘ok’ (my crab pasta was nice but was $34 for a small bowl. We probably won’t go back.

The young man who served us was very helpful and friendly and efficient. while most mealtimes were really good, the chicken carving was found to be too oily. it could do with some softening furniture, bit echo.

Eating was refreshingly different, the posing eggs excellent also booze sandwich. the Moroccan flavors are very tasty and give the food a hauch. the drinks were generous of the glass and an extra enjoyment were the desserts of sticky date pudding and warm chocolate brownie, both covered with warmed sauces to die. great lunch! thank you, grand bistro.

The food choices were good, but one of us was vegetarian and only one choice for the main.
