My experience at the Ancienne Douane is rather mixed. Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired, with a cold atmosphere and a distinct lack of smiles from the staff. Although the dishes were plentiful, they seemed to lack a culinary finishing touch. The attentiveness of the staff was also an area for improvement, as they seemed more engaged in chatting with each other than in providing attentive service. This had a negative impact on the overall experience. This is all the more disappointing for me, because I have a particular affection for the Ancienne Douane de Haguenau, which I normally find very pleasant and family-friendly. Hopefully these issues can be resolved, as I believe the restaurant has the potential to provide a more positive experience for its customers.
