The Dam Bistro - Boulder City

So.... Mixed thoughts about this place. First off, the staff was amazing!! The food was very good. But the prices are really inflated for what it is. The atmosphere is where it gets lost. Obviously they are going for an upscale bistro vibe with the menu, which again was amazing, but the decor is confused. The string of twinkle lights by the bar? The bar looks more like a tiki vibe, the one booth is out of place, the art doesn 't really match a bistro vibe. The lighting is off. I just felt if you are charging high-end prices, the venue itself needs to reflect high-end as well... And it just misses the mark in my opinion. I know things are just re opening, post COVID19, so I do take that in consideration and always them for the efforts. There was outdoor seating available, but it was too hot for us. The chef clearly has a passion for his menu and the flavors reflect it. The staff appreciate the business and are friendly and thankful.

Food was delicious, great small town experience. The cocktails were mediocre or else I would’ve given them five stars especially since they were short staffed but still delivered excellent service.
