Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is delicious, especially if you're in the mood for fried dishes. The clam chowder was tasty, although the portion size was quite small - the cup size was even smaller. My daughter ordered the fried seafood platter, which was generous and included fish and chips along with a variety of other fried seafood. She really enjoyed it. I opted for the scallops platter in a light creamy tomato sauce with rice, and I found it to be tasty as well. The salmon and lobster macaroni and cheese were also very good. While the prices were a bit high and parking was a challenge, the restaurant is located in a great area with plenty of pubs and music venues to explore. The service was excellent and I would recommend visiting at least once.
The restaurant's rich history and beautiful interior are reasons enough to pay a visit. We were greeted with delicious warm corn bread as a starter, followed by a satisfying bowl of clam chowder. The fried oysters with fries were fresh and flavorful. As a special touch for St. Patrick's Day, we received a complimentary pot of gold souvenir. Our server was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place.
This restaurant has been around for a while, but it was absolutely amazing from the food to the service. Everything was excellent. The lobster we ordered was delicious. We also shared clam chowder with the table, and it was very tasty. Our waitress was fantastic and really brought energy to the entire restaurant. The food was filling and the atmosphere was very nice. It's unfortunate that their upstairs kitchen is closed and their menu has shrunk due to Covid, but they are still doing a great job. If you're in Boston, this restaurant is a must-visit. Add it to your list now!
During a quick trip to Boston, we looked up for the best seafood restaurant in the area and Google recommended this place. After struggling to find a parking spot, we finally made our way to the restaurant. The place has the charm and warmth that can only be acquired through years of continuous service. The place was not very busy when we visited so we got a seat quickly. I ordered their special clam chowder, the soup of the day (minestrone) and the fish of the day (haddock) with a side of mashed potatoes. All washed down with a Guinness beer (I wish it was draught, but it was available only in a can) The food was delivered very quickly by our very helpful server. Everything was delicious. I could not find anything that was lacking. Even the prices are very reasonable. Must try!
The oysters were fantastic. I wish I had just ordered a plate of those for lunch instead of the scrod or clam chowder. Ketchup and leftover horseradish helped make it 3 stars. The price was definitely a tourist trap. Go here for the ambiance and history, don't stay for anything but the oysters.
