Bidrage med feedbackA great option in East Boston, plenty on the menu is vegan or can be made vegan, so it's always worth asking about anything in particular. Seating is very limited, works best for take out, and if you live in Jeffries Point, the location is ideal to pick up something quick on the way home from the airport. Bonus, the family that owns and operates it are good neighbors and cool people a place worth supporting.
The kabab and falafel plates were amazing. So delicious. Everything was fresh and so tasty. I was so excited to finally get here after reading about it online. We will be back for sure. Excellent place!!
Yesterday I was exercising near Bremen park and after a good workout I wanted something flavorful and I was craving Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately I’m not from Boston so I don’t have a car all I have is my 2 legs and feet to get me to places. I googled restaurants near me and this one was 20 minutes walking distance. I said, why not? Once I arrived I loved the ambiance and authenticity of the little restaurant. I was greeted by a lady behind the register and I ordered my food online to dine in. I had mentioned to the lady that I had never had Somali food and she offered me a free Tea called Shaah I think? Very delicious, very aromatic and Hot! I loved it… then I ordered the Falafel platter. All was delicious, affordable price and I was overall satisfied. Worth the walk absolutely loved the kind gesture of the lady offering me to try something I never have without a charge. Will come back if I’m ever near this area! Thank you :
Absolutely amazing!!! The service was very good and the food was fresh and truly phenomenal. I am so happy to have discovered this cozy restaurant and hope to return. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area but also will say that it’s worth the trip.
The hotel restaurant was closed so we decided to take a short walk up the street for a bite to eat and ran into this hole-in-the-wall North African restaurant, something that is hard to find in the Pacific Northwest from whence we just came. Chris had braised lamb shank over saffron rice and I had the fish biryani with their homemade spicy hot sauce that they said was not harissa but oh man it made my ears whistle and the flavor was amazing. We each got their homemade Somali spiced iced tea called shaah cadays that instantly became my new favorite thing upon first sip. The predominant flavor is clove, but there's also hints of cardamom, cinnamon, a zing of ginger, and a peppery-ness that was altogether a combination of something that I definitely want to make. The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us dining there. Happy that we went off the beaten path today and had this rejuvenating experience.
