Le Chaudron - BORDIGHERA

As we had chosen what we were told, was a Michelin starred restaurant for our wedding anniversary, we looked forward to a special evening. Apart from one other group, who obviously were known to the owners, we were the only couple. The woman who greeted us was completely un welcoming and had the attitude that it would have been better if we had not come. A "special ' seafood dish was chosen with black ink and lobster. It arrived, without the sauce, and with the tiniest sliver of lobster! It was replaced with no apology and a very offhand manner. The chef came into the dining room and greeted his friends, but totally ignored us! I have never experienced such poor service and food from what was considered to be a good restaurant. My advice is, go elsewhere! We would never return.

We were four adults for lunch mid week and were the only diners which is always a little concerning. However the €28 menu was our choice and was delicious accompanied by the house white wine. I would certainly return perhaps in the Spring/Summer to enjoy the outside terrace.

Excellent ! Les fruits de mer sont vraiment super frais ! La pâte est délicieuse avec beaucoup de saveurs. Le service est parfait !

Excellent. qualité des produits non contestables, mais en ce qui concerne les poissons cuisinés sans prix à la carte, nous vous conseillons de ne pas couper les filets dans la cuisine parce que vous serez surpris par la quantité médiocre dans votre assiette et la quantité énorme dans la note à la sortie. C'est la seule critique, le reste est absolument parfait.
