Bidrage med feedbackI have appreciated three different pieces of vegan pastries the selection very much! , all great, but I must admit, it was the most expensive coffee in my life
Read they were closed on mondays and my heart broke. BUT THEY WERE OPEN! Check Google for hours. And we bought the vegan Canelè and the St. James vegan cakes... Blown away. We were so happy to be able to enjoy Bordeoux's specialty in a vegan way. Absolutely worth a stop, weekdays there's less of a line I believe. Very fairly priced too, a bit too fairly. I bought so many! Updated from previous review on 2022 08 09
We had been looking all over the place for French vegan pastry. This was perfection. Never had Cassonade before so good. But the orange rum cake was something else. Absolutely loved it!
Cassonade is the only place in the whole city where you can get vegan canelés outside of a vegan restaurant , which makes it a must go for any vegan tourist. The vegan canelés taste great and Cassonade also offers a variety of other vegetarian and vegan pastries. Don’t go too late in the day though or they might already be sold out.
After reading that Caneles are a speciality of Bordeaux and that there was a vegan option available, I knew I had to seek it out. The canele I had was “moyen” medium sized and crispy and flavourful on the outside, with a soft, light apple flavoured centre. Server was helpful and friendly and pointed out other vegan baked goods available when he realised we ordered only vegan things.
