Savannah's Oyster House - BLOWING ROCK

This place was like the restaurants you see on reality TV and think it can't be really that bad. They didn't have any burger meat, or the toppings. They were out of cole slaw. The soda machine was out of order. The waitress was so bad it was like she was being intentionally being awful. She abandoned us for basically the whole meal, but when it came time for the check she said she wasn't pressuring us to leave, she just didn't want to leave anyone hanging. And it wasn't as though the place was packed. There were literally 4 groups eating. The food was cold and tasted like mud. The only positive thing about the place was their hush puppies. When it came time to leave, we asked for a box and a bag to take the leftovers home to the dogs and wouldn't you know it, they had no bags. If a restaurant is going to charge high dollar for a culinary experience they should at least have good, friendly wait staff, and well, the food on the menu. I will not being going back and I highly recommend you not waste your money, either.

We have eaten here , around New Years, for the past 3 yrs., has always been good service and food. However, this time the service was horrible. We sat at the bar, and waited several minutes for someone to take our drink orders, yes they were very busy so we understood. After we got our drinks, we ask for a menu to order food. We were told by a very rude employee that since we came in and sat at the bar that it would be 30 minutes before someone could take our food orders. We drank our drinks and left without ordering any food. Sad to see this establishment “go down hill” as we have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere

One of the worst dining experiences that we have had in recent memory! I prefer to write positive reviews but I feel obligated to write this one star. The service was extremely slow. I know short staffing but still slow. The crab cakes that were ordered were SOUR. Waitress said they used the wrong pan whatever that means. One plate had a hair in the food and the shrimp were not deveined. And just to top it off not one member of the management staff stopped by our table to apologize or even give us an excuse. The one positive was the chargrilled oysters were great!

Great food. A very pleasant surprise in Blowing Rock. I'm from New Orleans, So i decided to try the po boy. It is made with Leidenheimer bread, which is made in New Orleans. The food was SOOO GOOD. It really felt like a taste of home.

I have never had a bad experience here. My favorite thing on the menu is the shrimp and grits which is the best shrimp and grits anywhere. They also have really good hush puppies!
