The Standard And Lounge

Revolting!!! The one word to sum up our 1st and last dining experience. My family and I dine out very frequently. We travel all over with 3 kids in sports, etc. I will start by saying I have only had maybe 2 other negative experiences in my life dining out, which were not at the level of disgust we experienced. For the record, I also write reviews on some of the amazing dishes and positive encounters we have had in case your assumption is that I am a negative Nancy! Unfortunately, we not only had a bad meal, but my instincts should have kicked in when the uncleanliness hit us in the face upon entering. While washing my hands, the water had been turned off due to the men 's restroom completely flooding. Accidents... maybe aside...here are the food results. French onion soup portion size nicely large but luke warm and so so for tastyness. Bacon wrapped scallop appetizer with mango salsa tasted like it had been reheated, rubbery, leftover, and torched on the grill, which were just smaller than a 25-cent piece. My son ordered salmon lacking flavor again, tasted reheated with an abundance of wild rice that came from a bag. 3 bites in felt nauseous! My daughter ordered the lemon chicken with garlic butter pasta, in which the chicken was slimy. I wouldn 't even taste it. My husband, on the other hand, had a sliced steak sandwhich that was safe but not exceptional. French fries cold. While waiting for the bill, a group comes in to sit down with a dog. I 'm an animal lover, but if I wanted to eat next to someone else 's dog, I would have brought a BK Wopper to Petsmart. Never once did our waiter come over to ask how everything tasted. So here 's my 2 cents, never again! Kudos to those who had a more pleasant experience...not up to my Standard literally!

We went in there to have a burger for lunch, first i asked extra cheese, they gave me literally 1/3 of the slice they usually put on, asked for medium rare, 3 bites into it, me and my friend both started feeling nauseous… well heres the pictures, it was cold and raw on the inside. Ive been sick throughout the day, my stomach still hurts… very disappointed.

Wow this place has gone downhill,from the poor service we received,dirty bathrooms to the tasteless overcooked food , substandard on all levels

My family had the worst experience. My granddaughter saw mice and the management literally chased my son and granddaughter literally into the hall outside the restaurant. Having taken no responsibility for the situation that was brought to his attention. Literally placing the blame solely on them. My daughter is 15 and prior to this visit loved the place. No longer will we visit this location as even she was made uncomfortable. It's disgusting that a place called the standard holds no standards. My son have one dink and it was taken away because the wanted to treat his as irrational which to me seems absurd. We weren't making a seen, management made a seen and placed my son at the center of it. We tried to discretely let them know and the made us look like the fool. Never again

We used to love going to the Standard. Not anymore. The restaurant was relatively slow. We were served our dinner before our drinks. There's no doubt in my mind that they substitute our Gray Goose with a lesser vodka. The AC units have been broken in the restaurant for several months. It's very hot and stuffy in there. The bathroom is broken and dingy the paper towel dispenser doesn't work. This was one of our favorite restaurants to go, for years. Always a consistent meal. I'm not sure if we'll go back anymore. This last time might have been our last. What happened to this place?!
