Bidrage med feedbackTried the cheese at Bethesda Farm market. Loved the cheeses. Purchased 4 small pieces. Probably was about a pound max. Was not given a receipt. Looked at my credit card bill. $60.70. I called the number on line to inquire. Went to vm. Beware. Unless you are used to paying $60+ per pound for cheese. The most I have ever paid for cheese was the Cadillac of blue cheeses Ste Agur and that is half the price.
Found Stoneyman at the Bethesda, MD Farmers Market. Didn’t have to wait at all, they were super knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, gave suggestions along with samples, and we loved both cheeses we tried. Bought both without a second thought.
The man taught me more about cheese in 5 minutes than my entire life. Excellent experience.
Awful wait time. Huge line of customers who want to try the cheese and only one employee. I can never wait for the line to be over so I end up walking away after 30 mins. When I say 30 mins I mean this is how long it takes them to help 1-2 customers in front of me. I really think if you’re going to let people sample all cheeses might as well have a plate for everyone to try a piece than take forever to pick up the cheese, unpack it, cut the slice, give to customer, pack it, then pick it up again for the next customer, unpack it again, slice it again, give to another customer, repeat 50 more times during the shift. I’m talking about the pike and rose location, not sure about other locations. I just see a lot of customers simply walking away due to unreasonable wait time
I LOVE THEM!!!! The cheeses are great, and they are happy to provide them in plastic free packaging better for the environment, human health and also the cheese! It is supposed to breathe! (hence, cheesecloth) They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have basically stopped buying cheese anywhere else.
