Update from June 2022 New location, new design and new vibe, same great quality! Off the beaten path coffee roasters Drumroll very strong and with a lot of character. Italian roast full of flavor. Perhaps a bit too roasted to my taste but I can see why other people would really like it. Very generous calamari with chips meal size. Great attention to detail in the interior design with wooden panels throughout. Great friendly and fast service Berry gets very busy on Saturday's and yet we got our coffees almost instantly and the food came fairly quickly. Ice cream bar was not open due to winter season something to come back for. Great bar space and tap beer selection. April 2021 Great coffee just the right roast! Beautiful fresh home made ice cream, we also loved home made ricotta spinach roll and toastie with salami..everything is super fresh, quick service nice interiors and great sitting area outdoors on Queen street watching the busy life of the street.

Food was amazing. This dish beef cheek slow cooked on pea puree was recommended and melt in your mouth delicious. Staff were so nice and friendly. This makes it a great atmosphere. Eat indoors or out. Beautiful wouldn't hesitate to come back next trip

Il Locale has a great vibe , trendy space styled well with exceptional food . The very friendly owners made our night , always up for a chat backed by old fashioned service. The salt and pepper squid melts in your mouth, the bar is comprehensive and you can sit up there as well. The outside back area is landscaped wonderfully with festoon lighting creating a genuine ambiance not to be missed. Make your taste buds run wild at this place.

Love this place! Service with a smile and the best coffee in town. Have been a customer for many years since the original little cafe down the road. The new location with beautiful open-air courtyard, full bar and re-vamped menu has elevated il locale beyond cafe status, now also an excellent option for a smart lunch or dinner. Has a great buzz with an eclectic mix of local characters and blow-ins alike.

We came across what is now a new favourite of mine in Berry. I loved the outside area at the back. Very pleasant to sit out in. Dogs welcome! Great menu sour dough toast was perfectly cooked still soft. Bacon and egg roll served on a milk bun good to have something different. Nice selection of sweet things and the coffee was great too!
