This place is set in a lush, sheltered slice of paradise untypical of the weathered harshness of much of this coastline. The historic wash house machinery still installed in the River Bothy are also a quirky and interesting side note too really pleased they’ve kept so much of it.
We happened upon this delightful tearoom on our way up the A9 so we stopped for coffee. I noted that other people had booked, and it was nearly lunchtime, so that's worth bearing in mind. It is really lovely, with a great range of snacks, meals and drinks. There is also a shop with all sorts of gifts, Scottish foods, Scottish toiletries etc, and we were fascinated by some amazing clocks. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and snacks. Highly recommended.
The hotel is located at the foot of a hairpin turn, this place was a wonderful break in our road trip. warm, welcoming, charming, with delicious and hearty home cooked food. historical building that we ate in the wound room, with old tapes still built on the wall and the table over the wash basin. cute decoration throughout (also in the washroom! and beautiful home wars for sale. great place to stop!
Definitely one of the best cafes I've been to along the NC500 route! Amazing food and coffee and a great selection of cakes that will leave you thinking which one to have for a long time! Also a little shop with gifts is inside
Brilliant place to eat food i had fresh crab on a batch and it was delicious and home made chocolate cake to die for and lots more to choose from. I can definitely recommend this place and after your food you can take a walk along the path over the bridge and admire stuning scenery and dog can have a swim as well. Love this place.
