Bidrage med feedbackA beautiful atmosphere and a wonderful service. The food was excellent! We had Bruschettas for Entrée and they were perfect! We ordered pizza and two pasta dishes and we were all so happy with our food! Would definitely be here for a pleasant night...out!
We spent a delightful weekend in Berlin, and one of the highlights of the trip was finding Ristorante Italiano Centro Sud. The restaurant is small but very comfortable. The Dining area was very intimate and romantic. The menu is very authentic Italian. The food was...all home made and the service while it was a little bit slow it meant that there was time for conversation and to absorb the ambience of the restaurant. We had some homemade bread and olives and both were exceptional. They had very appealing specials for the day and one of them incorporated freshly made mozzarella cheese which was the nicest I have ever tasted. The service Food and wine were all excellent, the portion sizes were very ample so its a great place to go if you have an appetite.Next time we are in Berlin it a visit to Ristorante Italiano Centro Sud will be part of the visit.
We had a good lunch in this nice little place that we stumbled on accidentally while having a walk in Berlin. We had Gilt-head bream (a fish that on the menu was called Dorade) and Calamari Ripieni, squid filled with a mixture of potato, herbs,...anchovy, capers, nets, lemon chest etc. Both were super delicious and made of fresh ingredients. Service was attentive and friendly.
We came during the Easter holiday, which may be of a high influence, but never the less, we were not impressed at all.The service was really slow, the man who was attending to us was dragging his feet and played the television quite high. He handed us a handwritten Easter menu written in German, but we couldn't make out the words, and he couldn't explain what it was in English. During our meal another man started playing a musical number, after which he came around asking for money - that is, inside the restaurant. We had the tortellini, which I will add was quite good, and the only pizza option on the menu, which was fairly good. The price is not high in general, but the pasta portion was just quite small, and would never be enough as a meal for an adult. Good thing we shared.
I was eating here on my own but was made very welcome. I had a glass of the house chianti with a seafood pasta dish and was very satisfied with both. The seafood spaghetti was delicious and the service was friendly and unobtrusive.
