We had dinner there and had the vegetable curry. As we opened the menu card and studied the menu card, the waiter nodded knowingly and asked right away „you‘re vegetarian, right? Those dishes are all vegetarian.“. We took the vegetable curry and had some naan bread with it. We did not ask whether any of our dishes contains ghee or butter, so if you really want to be sure that your food is completely vegan, you should probably ask for that. You can also get food for take-away.
We went there and had delicious dahl and no offence, the waiter may have had a bad day. He also did not catch the word vegan and just said vegetarian . Like: no meat vegetarian , no dairy yes, it 's vegetarian , no eggs no eggs, it 's vegetarian. He spoke fluent Japanese though, he just did not want to or care to get vegan defined.
The man in the restaurant was very helpful in pointing out what they could make vegan. We ordered an Eggplant and Potato curry with rice and poratha bread and some pakoras. Also got takeaway samosas for lunch the next day. Note: the naan is not vegan as it contains egg. We recommend visiting this place for a good feed.
Food was good but service could have been better. Asked if they had vegetarian options and the waiter replied no, luckily another person working there overheard and replied that they did have vegetarian options.
