The Goldmines Hotel - Bendigo

We had a fantastic Mother's Day lunch at Goldmines Hotel. The food and venue were awesome and the staff were so lovely and helpful! When we made our booking I mentioned that I would have a baby with us, the staff took it onboard to reserve us a table that had extra room for the pram! I was so happy because it's usually so hard taking this baby anywhere, the fact that they were so considerate made me feel relieved and relaxed. We will definitely be going back!One last thing, what an amazing outdoor area! Seriously one of the best "beer gardens" I've ever seen! Surrounded by trees and gardens and a huge beautiful pond... there is privacy for each table! Unbelievable!

The Goldmines is a hidden gem. Bendigo has lots of pubs but this one is a stand out. The magnificent garden area out the back is huge and very comfortable. The pub inside is lovely with original wood, cornices and other old world fixtures. The service is good and meals are very nice. Almost too hard to pick a meal to have as they are very nice. I visit monthly to have a social group get together. It's very comfortable and we often sit from 12.30 to 3.30 -4.00 pm over lunch and drinks.

Hip.Not so hidden gem that's highly recommended. Great bar staff. Chicken Chimichanga's and Popcorn Chicken are the best you will find anywhere! Great place to just Chillax in the lounge rooms or extensive gardens with outdoor bar. Enjoy some of the finest seasonal craft beers and ciders along with regular live comedy and smooth music acts.Sometimes happening, sometimes sedate, always a treat.
