Hog's Breath Cafe - Beenleigh

My party arrived at the restaurant and waited at the host stand to be seated. Three young staff members, who were standing within 3 meters of us, were too busy chatting amongst themselves to acknowledge our presence. One of the staff members even took a drink order from another table and walked right by us without a second glance. It was clear that these staff members were more interested in their own conversation than in serving customers. Dissatisfied with the lack of attention, we decided to leave the restaurant and try the one next door instead. The staff at the neighboring restaurant greeted us warmly, provided us with menus, and explained the ordering process before seating us. It was evident that the customer service training at the first restaurant was severely lacking, as demonstrated by our experience.

I brought my wife to awaken the Breath to celebrate her birthday. We have visited this restaurant before, but this time our experience was disappointing. We decided to order the mixed grill for two. However, the vegetables were served cold, as if they had been sitting in a bowl while the meat cooked. The steak pieces were also a little tough, despite being ordered medium rare, and the dish was not as hot as expected after waiting nearly 30 minutes for it to be served. This occurred on a Monday evening at 6 pm when the restaurant was not very crowded.

My family and I went to the restaurant on Sunday, June 20, 2021. We ordered steak and prawns cooked to a medium temperature. However, what I received was a severely undercooked steak that was only seared on one side. I had to send it back to be cooked properly. Additionally, the garlic prawns I received were bland and covered in a tasteless white sauce. I was very disappointed with the meals and had to speak with the manager to address the issues.

We were set up to dinner upstairs. That was okay, except was pretty warm. The staff asked the fans without being asked what was nice. Unfortunately, the fans were so badly baked with dirt and dust that when the fans switched on, so...did the display of falling dust on the tables and foods. Will never go back there until the restaurant is clean to bring it to the standard. If the public seating area is so dirty, I'm worried about how the non-public areas like the kitchen are. I really hope this is fixed before they make someone very sick.

Thanks for yet again another wonderful steak, got the dinner special and it was fantastic value for money. Portion sizes where right on. Bit noisy in the restaurant but otherwise great food. Excellent place for family, friends, the girls, the boys and every event combination...in between. Thanks, keep up the great service.
