Mokoko Coffee, Abbey Churchyard

We had a couple of lattes and two croissants. The croissants were very nice, the coffe was nice but nothing special and it was quite expensive about £17. What let the place down was the unfriendly staff. Probably won’t use this coffee shop again.

No tables that were actually clean dirty plates and cups everywhere. There were several members of staff, clearly cleaning up was not a priority for them. Expensive to eat in.

This coffee shop has the potential to be so nice but always dirty. We’ve been here in December and in April. Both times a mess. I included a picture and these plates were here for 30 min. We left and no one had cleaned them up.

I usually come to this cafe to treat myself to a nice coffee. My usual order is an oat flat white. It usually come just right; not piping hot, good amount of foam and a lovely swirl at the top. Today I was very disappointed in the coffee that I received, it wasn’t the usual barista, so perhaps someone less experienced or just done with the day. The coffee burned my tongue when I took the first sip and the milk has not been poured correctly: it looked like a mess. When I pay £3.40 for a coffee I expect it to be of exceptional quality and my coffee today was subpar. It would be good if all baristas upheld the same standard of coffee.

Lovely spot for a coffee. Served by Dan who was excellent! super friendly with a cheery disposition. Will definitely be recommending to my friends family :
