New World - Basildon

I’m actually not a great lover of Chinese takeaway food probably due to all the really bad ones in Wickford but having said that the New World is easily the best one out there Unless it’s from there my wife won’t have one

Ordered food from new world yesterday and the lady on the phone was very rude, but because they are extremely busy they don't care! They have enough custom so they don't need to be polite, Food was ok but the ladies attitude made this a bed evening. I hope people read this and avoid this venue.

Love this Chinese, food is always spot on, it does take ages to get through to place your order and deliveries lately take about 2 hours to arrive so factor this in when ordering.

This Chinese is the BEST in the area!! The food is spot on every time, it’s always hot, I’ve had most things off the menu and I’ve loved everything, the 2hr wait is sooo worth it, some say they can never get through, I ring one after the other about 20 times and I get through and WOW is it worth it, the salt and chilli prawns are soo nice and the chicken version, Singapore noodles omg I could go on. Honestly best chines ever!!

On the phone I ordered chop sticks. When collected we paid and realised that the chopsticks were not in the bag. I asked and she said she wanted to show them to me. Which I thought was weird. I chose the £1 wooden ones. She then refused to charge me £1 on my card as I didn't have cash. It was her mistake and she wouldn't give them for free. So we left without chop sticks and we will NOT be returning. She couldn't give us cheap chopsticks for free?? How ridiculous!!!
