There should definitely be more restaurants like this one. They offer an amazing variety on their menu, featuring fantastic homemade recipes. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. Their breakfast menu is outstanding; my personal favorite is the homemade hash brown scramble paired with a cup of coffee made from their house-roasted beans. You could easily spend hours browsing their unique gift shop, which has an impressive selection of truly special items. Oh, and did I mention they serve delicious hand-scooped ice cream?

I forgot to take pictures of the food, but I had an excellent patty melt. The fresh bread was fantastic. They also offer homemade pies and hand-cut fries. A friend ordered the French toast, which was thickly sliced and looked absolutely delicious.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from Duluth, drawn in by the impressive statue out front. Upon arrival, we discovered that all the meals are homemade and the prices are incredibly reasonable. (Many made-from-scratch restaurants have to charge more because they don’t rely on frozen food.) The menu is diverse, featuring both comfort food and all-day breakfast options. Our food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. I ordered the small plate wild rice meatloaf with mashed potatoes and felt completely satisfied. The gift shop was spacious and filled with unique items—definitely not cheesy. I wish I had caught our lovely waitress's name (she had red hair), as she provided excellent service; she was friendly and personable. I highly recommend stopping here for an amazing meal and a cozy atmosphere—10/10!
