Pic Nic - BARI

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF. My husband and I went here for lunch today. We were not given a menu or choice of what to eat. After insisting that I did not eat shrimp we were both given gluggy pasta with seafood and shrimp. It was the worst pasta I had had in my three months in Italy. It was tasteless and gluggy. The second course which we were talked into was the most tasteless fish I have ever had. It was floating in water and It was supposed to be served with potatoes and tomatoes, I counted three small tomatoes in the two plates. We were told that it would cost €20 but were charged €25. When I asked for the bill, luckily I checked it as they tried to over charge us by €20.50 euros. They charged us for two desserts we didn’t have. They charged us for a litre of wine when we only had half. They charged us €25 for the fish which we were told was €20 and they charged us and extra €2 each for the pasta dishes. Do not eat here as the food is really bad and they obviously think that tourists are stupid and are easy to rip off.

The food is amazing! Nothing like fancy restaurant, but excellent Italian homemade food. Portions are big and variety is really good. Not expensive, amazing tiramisu. Friendly stuff, have troubles with speaking English, but doing their best!

We stayed at the lovely b&b and had breakfast in the restaurant each morning. On the last day we stayed for dinner. We had the apperitivo and a pizza. Both beyond expectation! The staff is friendly and correct, and even though they don’t spreak a lot of English, they Will do anything to make your dinner worth while!

Ristorante molto carino e personale fantastico e super cortese! Pesce fresco e rapporto qualità prezzo ottima! Ci torneremo sicuramente
