La Cavallina - BARBERINO DI MUGELLO

Very good! The meat is excellent and the service is good. Don't judge a book on his cover because it doesn't look good from the outside.

We booked a table per day in advance and know that on Sunday the Barberino area is very crowded. We were told that we arrived at >around < 12:30, but due to unpredictable circumstances >10 < minutes were too late. A guy told us rudely that our reservation was canceled, but he also said that a table would be ready in 20-30 minutes. After waiting for 1h 30m, fortunately we found a way better restaurant approx. 10 minutes drive from here. Bad customer reviews, very untypical for Italian restaurants we usually go.

We found this location near the Fountain of Neptune. We were greeted and seated quickly. We ordered water and wine and then reviewed the menu for a late lunch. We had heard so much about the Florence T-Bone and Wild Boar we decided to try...them both....wow! I was not a fan of the fried polenta on the wild boar plate but the remainder of the meal was excellent. This would be a place we would visit again.

First of all i have to say that we go there from Bologna. what to say, impeccable service, always very kind, smiling and fast. the best meat i ever eaten, but also pasta and dishes are spectacular too. great for lunches or dinners with your...partner or friends. and about the pictures i posted, i didn’t have time to take the meat one bc was too good to stop and take a picture ahah

I randomly stumbled upon this place while searching for a place to eat on our way to Florence and what a find! The selection of meats is outstanding and the open-fire grill impressed us as soon as we entered the restaurant. There was approx 10...minute wait for a table (lunch time . The steak and the sides were superb, and a very memorable experience. I guess the only criticism I would have is that they did get busy and the noise level was a lot, but well you can’t fault them for being that successful :
