T'cher Cafe&bistro - Ban Pae

The beef steak was raw, not rare, raw! Was afraid to eat it.We also had a papaya salad that had crab and shrimp in it. The crab was rotten. Its smelled terrible.Do not recommend this place!

Looked like an upscale cafe and bistro by there signs and Facebook and google listing. Get here and they don’t have a menu in English or pictures. Had to use goggle translate to order a coffee. Tried to order Pad Thai because it’s the only dish we know in Thai. No Pad Thai! So we pointed to dishes that they were serving to other tables. Soooo spicy couldn’t eat it. My mouth is burning, on fire. Surely someone in town could translate their menu for them! Or do a menu with pictures. Such a shame because it’s very clean and nice and the food looks very fresh and nice.

The name and advertisements lead you to believe this is a modern upscale cafe and bistro. We get here and there is no menu in English and no menu with pictures and they couldn’t understand us when we tried to order a cappuccino. We used google translate to finally order a coffee. Then we tried to order pad Thai because it’s the only dish we know in Thai and they don’t have Pad Thai! No one spoke any English and so they were bringing food to another table so we pointed to a dish and ordered that way. It’s such a shame because the food looks good and it’s right off a major road of the Mae Hong Son loop on the last leg to Chiang Mai! There should be somebody in this town that could help them translate the menu. There are signs in English all the way from the highway to here and it has a google map point and a Facebook page!
