The Afton Sports Bistro - Ballymena

Food was ok. The venue was cold. Bar very poorly stocked. Wouldn't have known it was Christmas not a decoration in sight.

Just been to the Afton for dinner with a large group.The food was really good but was let down by dismal surroundings,cold restaurant and midland service.No curtains,no carpet no water or juice on the tables.Four of the people at our table had their dinners finished before the other two had there meals served.Power went off during the meal due to an internal fault,felt for the restaurant owner but really not good enough.Was forced to eat meal in the dark.Plates cold and cold surroundings meant that the food was cold before I had time to eat it.I would love to see this restaurant redecorated, properly heated and staff more pleasant.Male waiter in shorts, really unprofessional.Too many good restaurants about to eat here again.I hope that the owners of the Afton take this as constructive criticism and watch their business grow.

Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Will definitely be back.

Foods amazing highly recommend he squid starter and chocolate cake for pudding!

Back again with family visiting from bristol...didnt disappoint...hidden gem x
