Bidrage med feedbackIf they want a pretentious pub where they need a dictionary to decrypt the menu and pinzette to eat them. they don't come here. if they are a warm friendly, well-defy country pub with a menu of traditional homemade food (to reasonable trips) and well-maintained ale, then this is the place large garden for summer days and beautiful open fire for the cold winter months. recently renovated on a high standard looking slim and modern while the country pub feel. great owners and employees and an ecclesiastical mix of natives who interact amd make them welcome. if they want to eat... Book or be ready to wait as this place is packed, but eating is worth it! I was here for 17 years and have seen the evolution first hand of what was a good pub, to what is now an excellent country pub that serves food. try it, they will not be disappointed!
We had drinks today after a 9-mile canal walk in 30° and lunch in the anglers retreat! a very friendly pub, fortunately they gave me a prise water that I quickly followed with a pint of the stowford press summer obst apfelwein, which was delicious. my man enjoyed the timothy taylor landlord bier. we ate lunch, which was served quickly and was really good. a large amount of food too. we sat outside in the garden, which was very relaxing after our long hot walk. we go back there!
After I drove past some pubs in this street, to discover that they are not open at lunchtime, I visited them for the first time in years and went to a lively place, unusual at 1.30 a weekday. very friendly with an ambiente would have a lot of pubs 'for'. another plus point was that the timothy taylor landlord was excellent. call, you won't be disappointed.
