The Garden Tipi at Preston Bisset Nursery is now my top spot for coffee outings. The coffee shop is situated within a large Tipi in the gardens. As you walk through the rustic wooden doors, you will be pleasantly surprised to find yourself in a cozy, warm tent-like structure. The ambiance is inviting with glowing patio heaters, wooden floors, abundant flower arrangements, fairy lights, and comfortable seating adorned with plush cushions and throws. I would rate the variety of cakes offered a 10/10 and the Black Forest Cherry Hot Chocolate a 5/10 in terms of taste. On two separate occasions, I enjoyed this hot chocolate with friends. However, it is worth noting that the hot drinks tend to be lukewarm or tepid. I recommend requesting a heated cup or ensuring your drink is hot enough upon delivery. Whether you choose to sit at a table, chair, or sink into a cozy sofa, the space never feels cramped even during busy times, earning a 10/10 rating.
It's just perfect here. A friendly, lovely, cosy, happy place to visit. My friend and I visit most weeks (with our fluffy companions! for coffee, cakes, a natter and a wander around the nursey. The gift shop is so nice with a great range of classy and tempting items, and the plants in the nursery are varied and superb quality. We always get a lovely welcome and just can't fault anything. Keep on doing what you're doing, and such a big thank you from us xx
I had a fantastic dining experience at the Tipi Cafe. The food and drinks were top-notch. The vegetarian sausage roll filled with curried potato and paneer was the best I've ever tasted. The flavors were perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The carrot cake with cardamom was also a standout, moist and flavorful. Overall, this restaurant is a great place to enjoy a meal.
Dreadful food, rubbish staff. Save your money, eat somewhere else. It’s really not worth it!!! Food from the yurt was awful, and they charge a fortune for it. So pretentious! Bacon with an egg on thick crusty white bread arrived as wet scrambled egg on thin toasted (cold) white bread that had gone totally soggy with two pieces of bacon on top. Horrific! Raspberry and white chocolate blondie arrived without any raspberries, and two small chunks of white chocolate. They take payment before you see your food so you’re screwed! £17 for the above including a tin of fizzy apple water, and they don’t care as they’ve got your money. I only came to buy 12 Laurel bushes… decided to have a spot of lunch…. decided they weren’t getting any more money from me. Ripping people off left, right and Center for the quality of food provided. If you charge ‘good money’ the food should reflect this!! They need Gordon Ramsey to sort them out!!!
