Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant boasts a stunning ambiance both inside and outside! The meal was amazing and fairly priced. We arrived on Sunday right at opening time and were fortunate to get a table on the patio. We tried almost everything on the menu, but my top picks were the bavette, pork belly, and chicken. The frozen gin and tonic, as well as the mango slushie, were also delightful and refreshing! I will definitely be back!
I had high hopes for Loro, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The ambiance, food, and service were all exceptional. We ordered nearly the entire menu to share among the four of us, and every dish surpassed our expectations. They truly excel in their Asian barbecue fusion at Loro. The corn fritters, coconut-scented rice, snap peas, brisket, chicken, and steak were all fantastic—I was so eager to dig in that I didn't even have time to take photos of everything. I will definitely be back!
This restaurant is truly charming. It offers an amazing combination of Asian Fusion and Barbecue dishes. The cheeseburger is exceptional, and the drinks are both distinctive and delicious. The prices are also very reasonable. We've determined that this will be our favorite place for special occasions, all without breaking the bank!
The food was superb! Wednesday night had a wonderful atmosphere with the place buzzing with energy. The brisket was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth—truly delicious! The bar staff and service were exceptional, too.
Let me tell you how impressive this place is: I've decided to write a review about it. My daughter goes to UT, so I visit often, and while I've had some truly great meals here, I find the overall dining scene in this area to be a bit boring, uninspired, and somewhat disappointing. I’m sorry to say it, Austin, but while I may have grown up in New Orleans, I expected more. There are a few excellent steakhouses, as you would expect, and some interesting spots like Tiny Pies, but I could only identify two truly exceptional and unique restaurants besides this one. One is Uchi, which is known for its creativity, and the other is a place called Peacock located in a hotel nearby. Now, we started our meal with some popcorn topped with burnt brisket. Seriously, who thought of that? It's possibly the best game day snack in Texas! They should sell it outside the venue, and I would personally ensure that Alabama fans know just how good it is. We also had some shrimp with an orange sauce that were excellent, a potato bowl that my wife loved, and some fried corn. Everything had a complementary sauce, which was fantastic. Coming from New Orleans, I can only say "Bam!" or "C’est bon." I enjoyed a frozen mojito that was excellent, and my daughter had a homemade version of a mule drink that she also loved. However, I have to take a few points off for not serving the drinks in the traditional copper mug. My daughter mentioned that we didn’t even order the best drinks on the menu. The brisket was really good and perfectly cooked, but not the best I've ever had. That honor goes to my stepfather, the legendary Kenny Guillot from Thibodaux. I’d share his recipe, but he left us last year, and I haven’t written it down. Maybe more brown sugar or Tony's Cajun seasoning, perhaps even Barq's root beer, could elevate it! We had plenty of food left over, as the portions are generous enough for 2-3 people. Our total bill came to around $80 with tip. I overheard other diners saying, “That was a great call,” and it couldn't have been more accurate. Now, while nothing is perfect, the music was a bit loud for me, but I guess that's just my age showing. The restrooms were nice and well-maintained, but with only two stalls for the entire restaurant, it could be problematic during busy times. We opted to sit outside, which was great because there were plenty of fans to keep us cool. Overall, this place is definitely one of the best restaurants in Austin!
