Supermac's - Athlone

I stay in athlone at one of the hotels every now and again and always love to call to supermacs for chicken sandwich meal with taco fries. Having travelled yesterday I was really looking forward to it. The chicken sandwich was lovely ,as was the cappuccino. The chips however were only lukewarm so cheese didn't melt properly. Having worked in supermacs for ten years I can definitely say the chips had been reheated at least once and then left sitting in the chip dump with possibly fresh ones thrown on top. The restaurant wasn't busy. I would've waited the 3 and ahalf minutes for fresh chips. It hasn't turned me off going as I know mistakes can be made. This is only to highlight a possible problem

I came in and ordered my food staff was very rude when I asked if I could alter the order slightly I felt that the woman serving me was very annoyed and did not want to help me. When I finally made my order I asked if we could sit down and she told me no did you not read the sign which I thought was also done in a very rude way as there was no sign outside and the covid restrictions to sit down and eat your meal have been lifted. Then as I was waiting for my food I could see into where the food was being prepared and the same woman who served me was touching the food while she was texting on her phone at the same time which is a serious breach of health and safety guidelines. I was not satisfied and felt very upset leaving I will not be returning to Superman’s due to the disrespect I was shown by staff.

Often drop in when shopping Staff always pleasant Food piping hot Cooked fresh to order Staff always tell us to take a seat and drop our food over Toilets spotless Great value for money Well done to Management and Staff Keep up the good work

Food was nice the staff get almost annoyed with you as youre ordering though. Very rude and angry looking. Very strange

Went here for a quick bite to eat en route to airport. Had cheeseburger meal which wasn't advertised on the main board. Tasty enough and cheaper than the other options. Lots of chips with the meal which is cool.
