Ghiotto Assisi

Quaint restaurant in Assisi. Nice atmosphere and very nice wait staff. The appetizer we chose was pea velutte with raw and cooked cad. It was excellent. I chose the chicken for the main course, my sisters a pasta with beans and mint. And an Asian inspired duck leg. The chicken was most likely cut through the bone after cooking it and adding the sauce. So many tiny bones in the sauce. Hard to pull the meat off without either the thick skin or small bones. Really didn’t care for it. My sisters both loved their meal.

We ate here for lunch after our tour of the Basilica. it is close to the main garden square in front of the basilica- but definitely up hill like most of Assisi). We made reservations which i would recommend as it is a small restaurant. it was nice and cool inside on a very hot day. a very pleasant experience. prompt service. i ate the risotto which was particularly flavorful.

Very good decoration, soft music, care on decoration details, although only one toilet for men and women. Unfortunately dishonest attitude. Outside they present a specific food list, but when we sat, both foods that attracted us to enter were... finished. We received another food list and when I ordered another food from there, some ingredients.... were again finished (but the price remained the same). They gave me the impression that they do it on purpose just in order to bring you in. The portions are tiny and actually it is an expensive place, which makes these tricks in order to make fool of you. Is this, what Mona Lisa's peculiar smile hides?

Characteristic inn in the center, simple but nice and intimate. owner and staff very helpful and friendly, fast and precise service. excellent local appetizers, served with homemade cakes and bread. quality and goto. sin the first. cacio and pepper served with artichokes in our opinion under oil, which altered the goth making the goth of the under oil. spaghettini of the day to the truffle really sapidi, truffle really of little goto and released only a strong smell of ammonia. prices in the standard. given the will and care we trust a local growth
