Ember - Arroyo Grande

Their level of execution of each dish and drink is bar none for new American. It's not super difficult to get a table if you at least call early day of for reservations for parties of 4 or less. Definitely a must try if you're by the area or traveling through. It's a destination place on my list Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Ember is a great addition to the Arroyo Grande area. The cocktails are definitely craft and not too sweet. The steak I ordered was amazing. I ordered the ribeye with the Chimichurri sauce and it was very flavorful. The potatoes on the side were very good as well (and I'm not a huge potato fan). My only complaints include the water and oil they use. The water they serve you is not filtered in the slightest. It tastes like wheatgrass chlorine so if you are going to ember be sure to order still water. Second, I asked the waiter what kind of oil they used to fry my dads potato cake in and he said canola. I was surprised that a restaurant that is on the Michelin guide was using such an inflammatory and low quality oil. A real potato cake should be fried using duck fat or schmaltz. Other than that, the service, food and vibes were great!

Stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while visiting family. My mom and I shared the avocado beet salad and it was phenomenal a must have! Paired with the Talley Chardonnay (delicious). Entree we had the 50 layer lasagna and the ribeye both were exquisite! The service was exceptional as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Food is wonderful. The menu changes constantly but everything is excellent. It is a busy place so reservations are essential l. The staff are helpful and friendly. Wonderful service. Ambiance is casual but not grungy. Really good place for a family celebration or with friends
