L'Elephant Bleu - Antibes

I usually plan and know where to go. but we arrived a little later than expected in the antibes port againstd. we have reservations in a fine restaurant for dinner. but we wanted to have a light lunch because we had very little breakfast. candidly, we stopped here by chance. but the greeting was warm and eating better than expected. there is a large menu with Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. we cannot vouch for the whole repertoire, but the chicken kewers with satay sauce and a dish served in an pineapple with red paprika and mango were both handmade and cheap. they also came out at speed of flash. frankly, if I saw the wide range of reviews, we might have gone on. but I'm glad we didn't. the prices are fair and half a bottle of rose' was a perfect companion.

I visited some time in the last month or so and many times in the past. I need to find another bad dish on the menu. whatever they choose from the menu, it will make amazing and beautiful owners and their personal will always do. they feel welcome and home. they are also dog-friendly and find a quiet corner where they and their dog can be comfortable without disturbing other guests.

Eating was very moderate quality and rations were simply ridiculous for the price. we have asked for pork ribs au karamell, there were only 6 small pieces, absolutely ridiculous. evaporated ravioli were simply ok. chicken beignets were the best of it, but still only average Chinese. food nearly 50€ was far from fair.

Had a chilli chicken with steamed rice, both very nice with a good balance of heat and chicken. My wife had sweet and sour pork, the pork was overcooked slightly which was a shame. There was only one waitress working and she could not hide...the fact that she was a bit flustered. She was polite emough, would return.

We sat outside in the warm evening air. The restaurant was almost full but the service was quick. The food was very good and the servers excellent. Follow the recommendations they are superb.
