Chiangmai Thai - Amherst

I have been going to Chiang Mai for over 10 years now and we go basically weekly. Let me tell you take out or order in it?s the best Thai food around. I recommend Tom yum, veg choo chee, tofu triangles with roll Js, pad Thai with extra peanut sauce and everything else. Have never had a bad meal there and could not live with it! Highly recommend

Fantastic customer service scrumptious meals all at a reasonable price and a beautiful setting. Hidden gem in so much it looks so much smaller from the road you have to stop by.

I want to put five stars for the food because they have wonderful dishes with amazing flavor. That being said what is going on with the wait staff? This is the third time in a row I have had a clueless teenager as a waiter. I almost wrote this review a month ago, but I figured I would skip it because the food was good. I truly do not mean to come off as rude, but the past three times including tonight has been awful service. Parts of the order were missing, no drink order was brought, no courteous demeanor, no checking on the table to see how we are doing. Mind you this evening when dining there was only one other table that had people dining. I just do not understand how come these kids are not trained. Going out to eat is a privilege and I was hoping for a nice date night after a long week and I just left feeling irritated. Please hire some competent staff or at least train the kids to know what food is on the menu. I have really tried to keep loving this place because the food is great but after three bad dining experiences I think I will stick to take out.

It is the only Thai restaurant that I know of and only one I have been to, the food taste fresh but other than that I could only attempt to compare it to non Thai cuisine. Edit: decided to try dine in, place was clean and was surprisingly not busy at all, tried the yellow curry at the waiters suggestion, I found it a bit sweet for my taste but it was good, the bride had the pad thai silver if I recall correctly, dumplings were good.

The food here is delicious! I have been coming in for 3 years and it?s always been owned by same family. I love coming in to dine or get take out. The food is always on point and has so much flavor. Lovely local family owned business with traditional dishes and their services and energy are always welcoming, warm, and friendly. If you haven?t tried it, I definitely recommend you too. It is good for take out or a relaxing dine in experience.
