Gone right down hill since it was wetherspoons nd it wasn't much better then . Not my kind of place .tatty dirty and rough

An early evening visit for dinner with friends. I've been for breakfast here before and been very impressed. Dinner was also very tasty with generous portions. I had cheese, potato and onion pie. I'm told the meat meals were also good. And the puddings were lovely the baked cheesecake was delicious! Limited choice for vegetarians. The food arrived in good time and was really good value. Staff mostly very friendly although I've never had food somewhere when the person taking the plates away never even acknowledged us, spoke or smiled twice! Didn't give a good impression but didn't spoil the visit either. One thing I don't like is smokers standing right in the doorway, there was someone there when we entered and when we left and for nonsmoker's it is just not pleasant. Overall an enjoyable visit certainly didn't leave hungry!

Popped in on quiet monday afternoon and first time I have visited since it has been an ex Wetherspoons.Camera cards accepted which made the ale £2.15 and it was a nice pint of ipa.Friendly people serving and still had a spoons feel about which is ok.Toilets could be better but overall not bad.

Exactly what you would expect. Low cost food. Low cost drink. Friendly but rough around the edges. An ex wetherspoons with ex spoons clientele. I always enjoy my food and my drink here. Bar staff are very friendly and the chef also. Worth each penny I spend there.

10 of our family met here we travelled from leeds , definatly come again the food was piping hot and the beer was on point, great selection of ales friendly and happy staff 100% reccomend
