Tailwater Restaurant Bar - Altmar

Food was very good, price not so much. My wife and father in law ordered the fried chicken dinner, came with 1 piece of chicken with sides for $34. Taste was very good. Wait staff was friendly, kitchen was a little slow for how few people were in there.

Bar tender did not know how to make a Tom Collins (left out sour mix) it was quite bitter. The salad dressing on my Caesar salad was bland. I was not allowed to swap collard greens for Brussel sprouts. The garlic potatoes were good. The fried chicken had a tough unedible coating on it that I left behind. Overall a very expensive meal that I did not enjoy. Won't go back. The waitress was good. Oh yeah, $17 for 6 shrimp. Crazy prices. Open table did not make my reservation. I thankfully called to make sure. Won't be using your reservation service either!

I I could give it 10 stars I would! From the moment we entered (on a Friday evening) until we paid the check the entire experience was phenomenal! The food was absolutely amazing the service was perfect! Highly recommend whether you want a burger or a filet you cannot go wrong!!

Our waitress, Kimberly, was attentive and accommodating. We both ordered the petite filet mignons which were cooked to perfection. The seasoned garlic potatoes were excellent as was the stir fry vegetable medley This was the most we had ever spent for a dinner for 2. $128 including tax and 20% gratuity). We did not order appetizers, beverage or dessert.

Our meals were very good. We had 2 appetizers that we shared. We had 6 in our party; orders included salmon, scallops, meatloaf, pork medallions, vegetable risotto with lobster. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress, Kimberly, was attentive, and made good suggestions. The decor is rustic and appropriate for the setting. The only downside is that the sound is not absorbed by the hard surfaces. We will return!
